2022 SCHOLARSHIPS
JASON ARNOLD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP- PICK UP APPLICATION
To be eligible, applicants must be a graduating senior, attending a certified college or university (include proof of acceptance), provide a copy of high school transcript, have a financial need and include two academic and character references.
WALTER MORALES SCHOLARSHIP FOR URBAN EDUCATION IMPROVEMENT
The Walter Morales Scholarship is an annual award of $5,000 directed towards a university student or high school senior who has an interest in improving the education system in the U.S. and more specifically the education system in urban areas. It will be awarded to the winner of an essay competition. A single winner will be chosen based on writing an unique essay of less than 1,000 words that addresses and answers the following. Think about the unique challenges that face urban schools. Urban schools are marked by higher concentrations of poverty, greater racial and ethnic diversity, larger concentrations of immigrant populations, language diversity and more frequent rates of student mobility.
RAY BABCOCK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This award is made possible by a Michigan Gateway Community Foundation endowment established by the transfer of funds when Galien High School closed. This scholarship is for graduating seniors of high schools in the geographic service area of Michigan Gateway Community Foundation, and enrolled as a full or part time student at an accredited College or University. You have to be a resident of the Galien area as defined by the boundaries of the Galien Township School District.
WILLIAM G. CONYE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility guidelines:
Be a member in good standing) of a family that has belonged to Credit union ONE (located in MI, or Ohio) for a minimum of six months. Be a 2022 graduating senior. Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher. COMPLETE 30 or more hours of documented community service during Junior/Senior year of high school ending April 1, 2022. Plan to enroll in beginning fall 2022 a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four-year college or University, or accredited vocational school.
VOLUNTEER UNTIED WAY YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS
APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED STARTING JANUARY 3, 2022
Winning youth volunteers will demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism through Creativity, Dedication, and Advocacy for Community Improvement. One winner will be chosen from Berrien County, one will be chosen from Cass County, and one will be chosen from Van Buren County. (Applicants must either live in or attend school in one of the three counties.)
Each winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship made out to their college, university, trade school, or institution of higher learning that offers post-secondary credentials. Only current high school seniors are eligible to apply.

HARRINGTON ORTHODONTICS SCHOLARSHIP
$1,000 Scholarship- Deadline to apply- April 11, 2022
Eligibility Requirements
Any College-bound high school senior who has had orthodontic treatment with Harrington Orthodontics, completes a one- page essay entitled “How I Have benefited from Orthodontic Treatment”, and submits the appropriate endorsed entry form is eligible. THE ATHENA EDUCATION FUND OF WOMEN’S SERVICE LEAGUE BENEVOLENCES
DEADLINE MARCH 1ST, 2022
Each year, The Athena Education Fund awards one $1,000 Education Fund to one or more high school students in their senior year of study. The student(s) awarded will have demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism through many avenues including school, religious affiliation, private youth groups, community organizations and charities. Both males and females are eligible to apply.
MICHIANA TWO-CYLINDER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Each year the Michiana Two-Cylinder Club awards an annual Scholarship of $1,000 to a High School Senior living within the greater Michiana area. Successful applicants must be pursuing an education in an agricultural related field, meet the criteria and fill out the application form. Scholarship is awarded in August at the Berrien County Fair and winner must be present.

THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
If you meet the eligibility requirements listed below, you could be the winner of a $500.00 award.
Eligibility: Daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughters of any honorable discharged or deceased men or women veterans who served during one or both periods. April 6 1917-November 1918 (world War I); December 7, 1941- date to be determined by Congress have ended (world War II to present).

MARIKA TOLZ SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE
Marika Tolz is an office administrator in the legal industry based in Hollywood, Florida. She would like to give back to the next generation of women in the workplace by offering a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is available for students in the United States who are currently enrolled in a University or High School and have plans to attend a University. The scholarship is meant to help a deserving student with scholarship funding and help to bring awareness to the issues facing women in the workplace.

THE FUTURE OF STEM SCHOLARS INITIATIVE (FOSSI)
We are pleased to make you aware of a scholarship and career development opportunity for high school seniors in your district. The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) is a $40,000 scholarship program for high school students who plan to study preferred STEM degrees (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The American Chemistry Council has partnered alongside HBCU Week Foundation, American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and The Chemours Company to make this impactful program possible. In addition to the scholarship, students will gain leadership development, mentoring and internship opportunities with program sponsors, as well as access to student networking events.

Graduation and college are right around the corner, and how exciting is that? It’s no secret that college is expensive, and scholarships are essential. The good news is, if you’re an Honor Credit Union member, you’re already one step ahead of your classmates with Honor’s Community Commitment Scholarship!
Now through March 15th, any graduating high school senior (home school included) planning on attending college or trade school this fall can apply for our Community Commitment Scholarship. We will award 25 recipients a one-time scholarship of $1,000 to recognize our future generation of leaders!
Basic Requirements:
- Be an Honor Credit Union member and be the primary account holder
- Have been accepted to an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution or an accredited U.S. trade or vocational school
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate academic achievement and community involvement

BUCHANAN MASONIC SCHOLARSHIP
Buchanan Masonic Scholarship Two $1000.00 scholarships offered by the Masons of Buchanan Lodge 68. Applicant does not need to have any Masonic Affiliation. Applicant Instructions 1. Applicant must be a high school senior or an undergraduate college student who plans to attend full-time at an accredited college, university, trade or vocational school, and must reside in Michigan and be a citizen of the United States of America. 2. Applicant must use the official Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation form. This form must be signed and dated by the student and his or her parent or guardian. 3. Applicant must include an official transcript, certified by the school that includes the student’s academic record. 4. ACT or SAT scores must be included, these may be photocopies. 5. Two (2) letters from school personnel and Two (2) letters from non-school personnel. 6. Application and related documents must be submitted directly to Buchanan Lodge 68 and must be received by APRIL 15, 2022. Applicant may be called for an interview. Mail To: Buchanan Lodge 68, P.O. Box 123, Buchanan, MI 49107. Each $1000.00 scholarship will be awarded in the form of a payment to the financial aid department of the recipient’s school of choice. The funds can then be used by the recipient for payment of any school related education expenses.
