Health & Wellness  (1/2 credit)                        Requirement 8-9

Life Fitness is designed to help individuals develop the cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength to necessary to achieve healthy fitness levels. Every day of the week, we focus on the 5 components of physical fitness. Class time will be devoted to strength training as well as conditioning or cardiorespiratory endurance to encourage participants to develop the self-discipline needed to improve their success in class. The remaining class time will be devoted to team sports and/or game activities.


Team Sports (1/2 credit )                                     Elective 9-12

Teams Sports is a class designed for those that love to learn about and participate in team sports such as Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Soccer, Speedball, Lacrosse, and some more individualized sports such as tennis and pickleball.  These are just to name a few of the sports that we will be participating in. A major prerequisite for team sports is a positive attitude and most importantly good sportsmanship. Students will learn the proper technique and rules for each sports as to become lifelong sports enthusiasts.


Weightlifting  (1/2 credit)                                Elective 9-12

​This course is designed to give students the opportunity to learn weight training concepts and techniques used to obtain optimal physical fitness. Students will benefit from comprehensive weight training and cardiorespiratory endurance activities. Students will learn the basic fundamentals and weight training, aerobic training, and overall fitness training and conditioning, behaviors and fitness, wellness, and movement to be active for a lifetime.
