Senior Year is Just Around the Corner . . .
As a senior, you have the same elective options as last year with a few exceptions. You will be able to enroll in college at Lake Michigan College or Southwestern Michigan College, or immerse yourself for two-three (2-3) hours each day in a Career Technical program. On this page, you will find links to information on all your choices. You will still complete your schedule survey for next year through your PowerSchool account, but all the information you need to make choices can be found on this page and through the links here.
All Seniors take Senior English, unless they are participants in the Early College Academy. You may select Honors Senior English or Senior English. Review your Graduation Progress report on your PowerSchool account by clicking Grade History. This report will identify any remaining requirements you must complete in your Senior year.
Most Seniors have 4-5 hours a day available for electives. One question asked each year is whether you have to have a full schedule if you have already earned most of your credits. The answer is "YES!" All Seniors must schedule 6 hours per day, but you have a lot of choices to fill that day.
At this link is a full list of courses to be offered at BHS next year. Descriptions of each course can be found here.
Enrollment in a Career-Technical program is still available to you. Career-Technical programs are designed to immerse you in a potential career for 2-3 hours per day. We share programs with all districts across Berrien County. BHS will provide transportation to our own off-campus programs (Sports Medicine and Cosmetology). Specific details on each of the available programs can be found here. Full descriptions of our own programs and those most frequently taken in other districts can be found here.
Dual Enrollment is also available to you again this year. Information on Dual Enrollment can be found here.
The scheduling survey will be open on PowerSchool soon. You will be notified by school email when it is.
